Domestic Study Tours & Camps (Canada)

Exploring Canada through immersive educational journeys rooted in nature, culture, sustainability, and academic discovery.

Introduction

At GYCE, our domestic study tours and camps are designed to help young learners experience Canada through immersive, experiential, and purpose-driven educational journeys.

Each program blends environmental awareness, cultural understanding, and academic exploration, allowing students to gain deeper insight into Canada’s identity while developing curiosity, confidence, and global competencies.

Prairie Conservation Expedition

This program introduces students to conservation in Canada’s Prairie Provinces, where they explore grassland ecosystems and learn about endangered wildlife such as the burrowing owl and swift fox.

Through field experiences, meetings with ecologists, and environmental workshops, students build ecological awareness and a stronger respect for biodiversity.

Alberta Energy & Environment

In Alberta, students explore how energy development and environmental stewardship intersect. Through visits to cities such as Calgary and Edmonton, participants learn about renewable energy, carbon capture, land reclamation, and sustainable resource management.

By engaging with experts and visiting research or project sites, students gain insight into the challenges and innovations shaping Canada’s energy future.

Discover Canadian Universities

Designed for students considering future studies in Canada, this academic exploration journey introduces participants to leading universities such as the University of Toronto, McGill University, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Alberta.

Students explore campus environments, academic resources, admissions expectations, and student life, gaining valuable perspective on future educational pathways.

Indigenous Cultures & Storytelling

This program encourages students to learn about Indigenous cultures, histories, and worldviews through visits to cultural centers, heritage sites, and workshops led by local knowledge keepers.

Participants are introduced to traditional ecological knowledge, storytelling practices, land-based learning, and community resilience, helping them approach cultural learning with respect and humility.

Northern Wilderness Leadership

Set in the natural environments of the Rockies or northern Ontario, this outdoor leadership camp helps students build resilience, teamwork, and self-awareness through nature-based challenges.

Activities may include hiking, wilderness skills, reflective sessions, and collaborative leadership exercises, turning the outdoors into a powerful space for personal growth.
